PROFILE
At the very beginning of his private practice in 1969, André Moisan is made responsible for projects where he has to deal with different persons so as
to find original architectural solutions to complex situations, always bearing in mind cost and deadline parameters. The easiness with which he masters these situations and his enthusiasm in rallying numerous minds in search
of the best solution have brought him to pilot two of the first major projects in the Quebec area having to deal with construction management: the "Place Haute-Ville" complex and the "Edifice du
Revenu". In 1981, "l'Ordre des Architectes" awarded a much coveted prize for the last realization. The expertise thus acquired enables him, in 1980, to found the architect firm D'Anjou & Moisan, and
to continue in his search for new experiences, specially in urban design, housing, renovation, recycling and restaurant design. His interest and research in urban environment allows him to be a leader in several
development plans which were granted awards: "Place de la Rivière, Le Dix-Huitième Vert, l'Allée de Montcalm et la rue du Campanile". Before joining the firm bbgl architecture, André Moisan was, for five years, associated with the firm Gauthier Guité Roy,
architects, and has participated in the formation of the Groupe Lestage, specialized in urban design and located in Montreal. He is director of operations and particularly assumes the management of major projects such as
the Building SSQ in Ste-Foy, the "Manoir des Sables" in Orford and the "Quartier Latin" in Montreal. Being much concerned with international help, he was called upon to travel abroad and to explore
original avenues developed by foreign designers and implying difficult problems.
